Vegan Campaign Brings Momentum for 2018
August 4, 2017 Race car driver and prominent environmental activist Leilani Münter has just returned home from the south of France, about as far away from an ARCA Racing Series garage as she could get. She traveled there last week to attend Leonardo DiCaprio's Saint-Tropez Gala, a benefit for the actor’s foundation, which supports environmental causes around the globe. Leilani’s brother-in-law Bob Weir, founding member of the Grateful Dead, even donated his Tesla Model S and a custom guitar for the cause. Oct 4, 2016 The Electric GT Championship, the world's first zero emission GT championship, announced today that Leilani Münter is the first American driver to join the Electric GT Championship Driver's Club. The new electric series will start in 2017 and uses modified rear-wheel drive Tesla Model S P100D as it's race cars. Leilani is seeking sponsorship to participate in the opening season. On the final restart Leilani was bumped from behind and was shuffled back to finish 14th of 36 race cars. Strong Run at Daytona Cut Short
Feb 15, 2014 Although Leilani qualified her #55 Go 100% Renewable entry to a 7th place start at Daytona yesterday, ARCA's post-qualifying tech inspection claimed one of her springs was not sitting properly (same spring that was approved by ARCA tech an hour earlier). As a result Leilani's 7th place qualifying time was thrown out and she was forced to start 33rd in the race today. Leilani was fast, racing her way all the way from 33rd to 9th place only to get taken out by a spinning car later in the race.

Feb 6, 2014 Leilani's dream of owning an electric car powered by solar has been realized. Her Tesla Model S was delivered in September 2013 and now with the solar panels installed on her home, her home and car are now powered by sunshine!
